Announcing OPEN APPLICATIONS for HPNF Scholarships, Grants & Awards

 

Hospice and Palliative Nurses Foundation announces applications and nominations are open for the following 24 grants, awards and scholarships.  Deadline for applications is June 1, 2012.  Please click on links below for further information and application forms.

 

·         Certification Research Grant

1 Research Grant with the purpose to seek the impact of certification within the research topic that pertains to palliative care.  The grant award is $15,000.   

·         Project on Death in America (PDIA) Nursing Leadership Award in Palliative Care

1 Award, in accordance with a grant from the Project on Death in America by the Open Society Institute, to a nurse who has emerged as a leader in palliative care.  $750 award and expenses to the 2013 AAHPM/HPNA Annual Assembly in New Orleans, LA.

·         Certification Scholarships

6 scholarships available (preference 1 at each level of CHPNA®, CHPLN®, CHPN®,  CHPPN®, ACHPN®, CHPCA®) for the reimbursement of December 2011 and March 2012 Certification and Re-certification fees, with the purpose to support nurses and administrators who have demonstrated and validated their expertise as specialists. 

·         Conference Scholarship

5 scholarships available to the HPNA Clinical Practice Forum to be held in September 2012, Managing Complex Chronic Illness: Trajectories and Transitions.

·         Individual Education Scholarships

4 - $500 scholarships available (1 at each level of Associate, Bachelor, Master, PhD/Doctorate) with the purpose to support nurses who are advancing their career through academic achievement.  

·         Chapter Education Grants

6 grants available, up to $500 each, with the purpose to expand chapter membership and to benefit all chapter members through education. 

 

 

 

2012 PDIA NURSING LEADERSHIP AWARD WINNER ANNOUNCED

HPNF has announced that JoAnne Auger, RN, CHPPA®, is the recipient of the 2012 Project on Death in America (PDIA) Nursing Leadership Award. The honor was presented March 10, 2012 at the AAHPM/HPNA Annual Assembly in Denver, Colorado. Click 2012 PDIA for press release.
