The Hospice and Palliative Nurses Foundation promotes hospice and palliative nursing at the local level through Chapter Education Grants. Each year HPNF awards up to six (6) grants to HPNA Chapters. The purpose of the grants is to benefit chapter members through education and expand chapter membership. Grants are typically $500.
Basic criteria:
- Proposed chapter projects must benefit entire chapters through educational projects and/or expansion of membership
- Chapter must be chartered and in good standing
- Chapters may not receive more than 2 grants during any five-year period
Application procedure:
- Complete the HPNF Chapter Education Grant Application
- Submit a brief Project Description (one page or less, typed) to include:
- project title
- quantifiable project goal
- methodology and evaluation
- description of how education project will benefit the entire chapter
- description of how the project is intended to increase chapter membership
Grant awardees are selected by the HPNF volunteer Chapter Education Grant Review Committee. Grants are awarded at the annual HPNA Leadership Weekend.
Chapter president, program chair or other representative must submit and present report on the usage of the grant at Leadership Weekend the following year.
Submit completed Chapter Grant Application and one-page Project Description by mail, email attachment or fax to the Hospice and Palliative Nurses Foundation.
