HPNF offers four (4) scholarship programs

to hospice and palliative nursing professionals.


New since December 2012, one Judy Lentz Scholarship for the Advancement of Palliative Care in Oncology Nursing is available annually.  This scholarship provides a registered nurse (RN), who is a member of the Oncology Nursing Society, with a one-year RN Membership (new or renewal) to HPNA, Conference Registration for the next year’s AAHPM/HPNA Annual Assembly, and a $1500 Stipend Check for travel, room and meals to attend the next year’s AAHPM/HPNA Annual Assembly.  Click here for Judy Lentz Scholarship for the Advancement of Palliative Care in Oncology Nursing


Fourteen Certification Scholarships are available in 2014. These scholarships are for new and renewal NBCHPN® certification and are determined in June and December.  Seven awards are given, with preference for one at each level of certification ~ Advanced Practice, Generalist Nurse, Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse, Nursing Assistant, Administrator, Pediatric Registered Nurse and the new Perinatal Loss Care.  Click here for Certification Scholarships


The HPNA-Sponsored Conference Scholarship program was established to provide financial assistance to nursing professionals for attending HPNA-sponsored conferences.  Scholarships are awarded to HPNA members to provide reimbursement of the early conference registration fee.  Fifteen scholarships are provided, five for the HPNA Clinical Practice Forum and ten for the AAHPM/HPNA Annual Assembly.  Click here for HPNA-Sponsored Conference Scholarships


The Individual Education Scholarships were established to provide financial assistance to nursing professionals earning academic degrees.  Six scholarships are offered each year.  They are directed to nurses at all levels of nursing education from entry level through graduate degrees (i.e. Associate, Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctorate).  Click here for Individual Education Scholarships
